Our Journey: The Rise of DCC Rising Stars

In 2024, a new chapter in Frankfurt’s cricketing landscape began with the formation of DCC Rising Stars—a team born from vision, resilience, and a shared desire for a different kind of cricketing experience. For the captain and founding members, this was more than just starting another team; it was about creating a culture, a way of playing the game that reflected their values, passion, and unity.

Having played across multiple teams in Frankfurt, we struggled to find an environment where our vision could truly take shape. The challenge wasn't just about cricket—it was about identity, inclusivity, and being heard. Adjusting to varied team cultures without a space to express ideas or offer constructive feedback often left a void. But instead of giving up, we chose to build something new. Together with close friends and teammates who shared our ideals, we set out to create a team where everyone had a voice and a common purpose.

The road was anything but smooth. Building a new team from the ground up in a city as competitive and diverse as Frankfurt was a daunting task. Finding players who not only had the skill but also shared the same mindset was one part of the struggle; the other was securing a home ground—a critical element for any team’s development. But through unwavering determination and teamwork, the dream began to take shape.

A pivotal moment in the team's journey came when Spvgg Dietesheim extended their support, providing the Rising Stars with the infrastructure and recognition they needed. It was a turning point that Dietesheim Cricket Club was formed and transformed a passionate group into a structured, thriving team. From that point on, DCC Rising Stars began to establish themselves as a formidable presence in the softball cricket community.

Today, DCC Rising Stars stand as a testament to what belief, unity, and vision can achieve. The team continues to evolve, driven by the spirit of inclusivity, progress, and a shared love for the game. As part of the Dietesheim Cricket Club, they aim to scale new heights, inspire the next generation, and contribute meaningfully to the ever-growing cricket community in Frankfurt.
